The Earlier Heaven Nuclear family was simple and straight forward.

The increasing light half of the year represented the masculine seed energy. The first son represented the dark half of winter. His nature symbol was thunder and his special quality was shock. The second son represented the light half of winter. His nature symbol was fire and his special quality was clarity. The third son represented the dark half of spring. His nature symbol was the lake and  his special quality was happiness. The father’s nature symbol was heaven. His special quality was strength.

The increasing dark half of the year represented the feminine energy of birth and harvest. The first daughter represented the light half of summer. Her nature symbol was wind and wood. Her special quality was gentleness. The second daughter represented the dark half of summer. Her nature symbol was running water and her special quality was analytical-critical. The third daughter represented the light half of autumn. Her nature symbol was the mountain and her special quality was keeping still.

The mother represented the dark half of autumn. Her nature symbol was the Earth and her special quality was receptivity.

This was considered the perfect family through which one would gain the most complete experience of life and all of its relationships.
